Policies that result in the death of any asylum seeker must be immediately halted. Too many children have died in custody as a result of cruel and inhumane policies. We mourn the senseless and preventable loss of life, and pledge that these deaths will not be in vain as we seek justice. 

Creator, make us to be the people you have called us to be, who bring hope and light to an unjust  world.
